Q: sounds er complicated. what do you actually do?

  • sensemaking
  • (inner) capacity building
  • conscious community building
  • cultural activism & second renaissance movement building

We do sensemaking (aka research and policy and consulting), we develop and deliver trainings to develop inner capacities, we make conscious coliving spaces and we run our intentional community.

Ed: Woah, more jargon. can't you say that for normal people 😉

    • strategic insight into the civilizational scale issues we currently face ranging (climate crisis, tech regulation)
      • emphasis on integral perspective / inner-led perspective
    • to help people and organizations navigate the metacrisis and transition

Q: what's your strategy? What's your theory of change?

Core theory of change is cover in 2R material now:

  • We have a metacrisis
  • To address that we need to culturally and ontologically evolve (at scale)
  • That starts with pockets which weave together and form a movement
  • We want more pockets and pioneers
    • need to show how such pockets can function …
      • pockets need to be materially and psychospiritually sustainable
    • need to spread the word …

Strategy of Life Itself: we are a pocket of the second renaissance

secondarily there are the strategies of the sub-projects / programs that emerge out of Life Itself. each of these is different.

  • Our goal is to contribute to the above
  • We do that … by X, Y, Z program
  • But we are little unusual in that we see ourselves as a Kibbuddhtz
    • By doing action research (i.e. trying ourselves as well as researching) on cultivating pockets and pioneers
    • i.e. developing ourselves as an active pocket and sources
  • Building

Q: it sounds like finding more pioneers is crucial. what's your strategy for finding more pioneers?

Q: what's your plan of action? How do you propose to implement your strategy?

NTS: what did i learn from 2R experience

  • Did a lot of analysis of what we were doing, for whom etc.
  • Being forced to explain to others and producing the project pitch was useful
  • More useful was writing the blog post announce / about page
  • Turned out that a lot of brainstorming e.g. re the newsletter wasn't so important. what mattered was launching what i had.

Overall: write the announce post before all the other stuff.
